  4. By the way, not rushing you or anything as I know that it is no easy thing to write a whole book and all, but any idea on the release of #4? Even a hint of a roundabout would be great!

    1. Truthfully, I almost lost my sanity trying to finish the third book on time! haha. The first 3 books each took me between 10-12 months from start to finish. Although, I took a few months break between 2 and 3 to go back and rewrite parts of the first, so I think I actually finished book 3 in more like 6-7 months once I actually got going. My big goal is to have book 4 done by Christmas, but life is always so unpredictable, so it's scary to make promises. I'd say, realistically based on past experience, it could be more like Mar-April 2014.

  5. I love this book!!!
It is so amazing and I am going to be so excited when the fourth comes out. Do you have any ideas of how long the series will be? I am hoping you say forever but I know that won't happen. Also I am doing an assignment and would love to know if you had any inspiration for this series and if there was what was the inspiration.

    Thankyou

    2. Hi Caitlyn! Thank you for such wonderful comments! I'm so glad you are enjoying the Water Keepers. I'm so happy that you have found a new love for reading! I'm not sure how many books there will be in the series yet, possibly five, but I don't know at this point.

There were a lot of different inspirations that led me to write this series. My mom, my husband, and even Stephenie Meyer (Author of Twilight) played a part in my journey which began with many personal hardships, but which led to this amazing experience of writing stories about characters who also learn about love and overcoming challenges. Writing can be really hard at times, but I have learned so much. Hearing from readers like you, who love the story and characters, makes it all worthwhile.
I talk about the start of my writing journey in these two blog posts, if you want to take a deeper look:

Thanks again for your comments, and good luck on your assignment!

  11. Christie Anderson. You are an amazing writer. I started book 1 yesterday and just finished the third book. Your choice of words are so descriptive. I am able to escape my reality and it takes me to a whole other world. I look forward to reading more. I couldn't put the books down. My 13 year old daughter has recently discovered a passion for writing and has decided she would like to become an author. Her writing reminds me of yours. I will have to have her read your series. I know she will love them and be inspired!

    1. Hi Katie! Thank you so much for giving my series a chance. I truly appreciate hearing your encouraging words. I love to escape my reality by writing, just as you do when you read. How wonderful for your daughter to discover her passion so early. I only figured it out a few years ago, but since then it has been an amazing journey! I hope she continues to love it. Being an author has challenged me greatly, but it also has changed my life in wonderful ways!

  12. I just started Ambrosia Shores and I'm liking it even more than your first two books. I love how even your supporting characters feel real not like they're just props for the main characters/plot. Thank you for sharing your wonderful made up world.

    1. Hi NavyWifey! Thanks so much for reading the Water Keepers! For some reason your comment got sent to a spam folder on my blog. I didn't even know there was a spam folder until today, so I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed Ambrosia shore, and thanks for stopping by my blog!

  13. Hi Christie...I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and I'm so amazed with the imagination you have in creating this story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I'm pondering over what will happen next in Sadie's life...what will attending the Academy be like for her? Who will be her new friends? Will she and Rayne finally have an intimate relationship? Will Sadie and Rayne get married? Will she have children? Will her mom get to meet Rayne's family? Will Sadie get to visit Heather again? What is Orion's real agenda? Will Voss ever be captured? So many questions left to be answered. What does Aurora really mean? I am looking forward to the answers. I'm sure this is not the easiest story to write. Thank you for the hours of entertainment. I couldn't turn on the t.v. even once while I read your books.

    1. Hi JoAnn, Thanks for all your nice comments! Those are some really great questions you're wondering about for book 4. There are a lot of things I still need to figure out for this one, so it helps to be reminded of what kind of answers you as the readers are hoping to find as the story progresses. I'm so glad you are enjoying the series so far!

  16. Hi Christie,

I am 52 and absolutely ADORE your books! I got the first book for free on Amazon and after reading the first two chapters immediately bought the other two books. I have found lately that YA books are better written than adult books. I can't wait for book 4. I will definitely be encouraging my teen to read your books. I just have to find them in print; she doesn't like reading from a Kindle.
